Someone usually cheats on their spouse or significant other with a renewer and get feelings for this person. Relizing that they better stop cheating with this person or they might (or just want to) leave their spouse/significant other they end everything with the renewer. Inturn, the renewer has renewed the cheaters feelings for their spouse or significant other because they now realize that they can have amazing feelings for someone else and they are still going to stay where they are.
