Relevancy

A word spoken and written that conveys one’s relative lack of education and susceptibility to groupthink. Relevancy conveys no meaning beyond the properly used “relevance.” This word has quietly and hideously made its way into otherwise semi-intelligent settings like tech companies and advertising agencies within the last decade.
The relevancy of this film cannot be overstated, but my intelligence can be. “The relevance of this film...is timeless” would be the proper form of this word, with zero meaning lost.

Relevancy League

A term used by TikTok hoodweebs to describe non-mainstream anime characters. Although used as an umbrella term to describe shows such ass Madoka Magica, Slime Reincarnation, and Higurashi; It's usually used to describe anything that isn't Shonen.

The term was founded when an angry TikTok teenager was upset over people liking things they didn't like. To counter them, the phrase and image was made in an attempt to mock and attack them.
Person A: Rimiru is my favorite character.

TikTok pleb: You mean the character apart of the Relevancy League? You know they're only important when Goku's the topic, right?

Seeking Relevancy

The act of creating or sharing superficial, overextended, or tenuously linked content—often on social platforms like LinkedIn—with the primary intention of maintaining visibility, validating one's expertise, or garnering social or professional advantage, rather than contributing meaningful insight or value.
"His post about how 'Monday morning coffee relates to leadership' was a blatant example of seeking relevancy."
"She's always seeking relevancy by tying buzzwords into every post, regardless of the topic's actual relevance to her field."

Relevant

When something is just so right that only one word can explain it. Only one word is relevant enough to highlight the relevance of the situation.
Billy: Hey pass me that ruler why don't you?
Ruth: Why should I do that? Are you going to measure that water tower?
Billy: That's totally unrelevant!
Ruth: It's pronounced irrelevant.
Billy: That's so relevant of you.

Theory of Relevance

The theory explaining why something that we know nothing about suddeny appears everywhere in our lives once we are made aware of its presence in the world. The theory states that it has always been there, however once we make a personal connection with it, we realize it in everyday use.
This summer I visited Tahiti and ever since I returned the French Polynesian Islands have been all over the news.
