A society or country run by elected politicians for their own benefit and not for the benefit of that society or country

We do not have a democracy, what we have is a politocracy

2. Used to describe an aware, non-aligned individual who remains engaged while eschewing hysteria; usually of the Millennial generation.

Breadhead 

Someone who is addicted to obtaining money and building wealth. A money addict and fanatic. Breadheads often work more than one full-time job, and some even participate in illicit activities to "obtain the bread".

A breadhead is like a crackhead, but for money instead of crack.
