A looming, long, drawn out pandemic. Punctuated by continuing longing for, and fending off overt references to, better days of large crowds intermingling without care (like concerts, sporting events, and other reasons you'd move to the downtown of a large city, like Vancouver).
Upon seeing an advertisement for an online course using an un-related photo of a large crowd at a live concert.... "...it's also not entirely appropriate seeing as how we are in the middle of a pandaloom".
