PIYL

"Play if you like" used by DJs when receiving new music at radio stations. A label besides a short description of the artist is usually affixed to new releases and "PIYL" follows with similar artists. An alternative at some places to "RIYL" -- Recommended if you like. It helps DJs preview something they might not have heard and gives context to the music on the album and what the DJ can play around the selection from that album from similar musicians.
Interpol is a rock group from NYC whose 6th album is a return to form of their first two seminal releases in the post-punk revival movement of the 00s. PIYL: The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeah, Joy Division, The Chameleons, Echo & The Bunnymen.
