odachi

A sword of Japanese origin, also called a 'nodachi'. It looks like an extra long katana. The sword was notoriously difficult to make and wield and was mainly used for killing mounted cavalry troops.

I got cut in half by an odachi.

A japanese sword similar to a katana but a lot bigger and it's name being translated to great great sword the odachi was the biggest japanese sabre usually having more than 100 cm of blade ( or 3.2 feet)
