A North American phenomenon. Usually middle-aged rich people who hate everyone and everything about life except for their ludicrously expensive European vacations. They are filled with endless venom and bile they can spew about anything, which is almost always unfavourably compared to the European equivalent.
Man at dinner: “God, this dinner is disgusting. Why on earth would the serve Ontario wine with the meal? Ontario wine is garbage.”
His wife: “And the duck isn’t nearly as good as the kind we get in Paris.”
