Blake Minnit 

A period of time used to measure the time that it takes for one to reach a certain destination. The time taken greatly exceeds the time that one predicted and is therefore a 'Blake Minnit'. The exact time of a 'Blake Minnit' can range from 20 nek minnits to a nek hour.

Used at the end of a sentence instead of "Next Minute", then refers to something that has happened (usually pictorial).

Nek Minnit 

Used instead of the phrase "Next Minute". No one knows its etymology (origin of word), except that it may have originated on the short-running TV3 show "The Jono Project". The phrase became extremely popular here in New Zealand and has been parodied many times since.
"Aww chur bro, makin' 2-minute noodles is easy as aye. Just boil some water, drop some noodles in there... Nek minnit... Hmm these noodles may need another minute aye..."

The Crud that collects under the keys in a keyboard. Usually more severe in the keyboards of programmers and webmasters as they tend to spend a lot of time at the the computer and thus eat at their desk. Mainly affecting IBM Model M (clicly) style boards.

West Midlands slang word for rockers, bikers, greasers etc. In the late 1980s it was used by the UK music press to refer to a specific scene centered around the bands Pop Will Eat Itself and Crazyhead. The term never found favour with readers of 'the inkies' (Sounds, Melody Maker and the still extant NME) and was soon dropped. Now often used in predominantly working-class areas of the midlands and the north to mean someone who listens to rock-derived music and/or dresses in a manner that suggests they affiliate themselves with rock music of some kind.
