Jewish futurism
(noun): A creative and design framework that treats Jewish civilization as closer to its beginning than its end. It uses Jewish text, ritual, memory, and values as working materials, not relics, to design ethical futures through art, technology, and systems thinking.
Think of it as the applied side of the mesorah. Judeofuturism is the great chain across Jewish history. Jewish futurism is the toolkit: design thinking, prototyping, backcasting, all pointed at real Jewish problems instead of theoretical ones. Less "imagine a Jewish spaceship," more "imagine a Shabbat experience that actually works for the people showing up to it."
It rejects two failure modes at once. Nostalgia that freezes the past. Futures so shiny they forget who's supposed to be living in them.
Jewish futurism keeps a lowercase f in it's name, because it isn't a Jewish remix of F.T. Marinetti's capital-F Italian Futurism, the fascist-adjacent movement obsessed with speed and erasing the past; it builds forward by staying in conversation with memory instead of torching it.
