An informal editor might allow for sloppiness or inattentiveness, but an "informalist" consistently edits for less capitalization, formatting, punctuation and verbosity.

Derived from an article in a very famous newspaper that described a practise as "informally formalized." To formalize a practise at the working level, without official sanction.

adj. Being informative in an informal way.
The professor taught the class in an informalitive way, using vulgarity and slang, while still getting the point across.
