A phrase to use when someone is telling you not to do something but you don't care.

Popularised by Michael Clifford (Guitarist in 5 Seconds Of Summer) in a live stream where his fellow bandmates are telling him to stop swear and Michael then replies with "I do what I want, I'm punk rock"

A phrase from the hit show on Comedy Central, South Park. Cartman says it when he is on a talk show and is trying to win a prize for being the most out of control child. Used to express dislike of something or denying something that someone tells you.

i do what i please

Doing what you want , don't thinking about the results or judgments given by others. Comforting others seems not the best option in every time. So sometimes people likely doing things only for there sake and own comfort.

It sounds like little egoistic but if it doesn't do a lot harm to others , this sounds reasonable.

Mom : Don't laugh louder.
me : I do what I please.. It feels good for me.
