Hyper-casual

A mobile game genre.

Hyper-casual games are games that take a simple concept (for example, having a moving arrow that rotates when clicked) and create levels with it.

Many hyper-casual games have endless randomly generated levels instead of a set of pre-made ones. This is partly to speed up the development and partly to not make the user bored and uninstall the game.

Hyper-casual games are always very simplistic and most use minimalist design to focus on the gameplay. Many of them use one-touch gameplay too. All this makes it extremely easy for a new user to get into the game and become addicted to it, which many users do.

Sometimes, the game has an in-game currency that can be obtained by playing or paying and can be used to change the user's character, save lives or other stuff that might change the visuals or make the gameplay easier.

Other than a big play button that takes you to an endless, randomly generated level and optionally a character-selecting menu, there's usually not much else on the game menu.

These games are mostly created by companies because of the development speed and easy monetization and usually hit the trending tab on Google Play and App Store after which they are forgotten about a week later.
Person 1: Hey man, have you heard of this new game called "Rider"?
Person 2: No, what is it about?
Person 1: Oh, it's just another hyper-casual game by Ketchapp.

Hype Casual

1. A Hype Casual is a person who only plays games that are hyped up and are popular. They also care for games that only have good graphics.

2. A Hype Casual does not know what true gaming is and probably entered the scene of gaming when the xbox 360 came out.

3. They lack knowledge of gaming history and tend to dislike any game that doesn't even appeal to them *regardless if they played them*

4. Most of all they lack patience and because of this they are not able to defeat games on harder difficulties.
These people aren't considered gamers.
Hype Casual: Hey man you wanna play some gears of war 2 online?
True Gamer: Hell no that game is for HC's.
Hype Casual: But the graphics are the best out there.
True Gamer: Graphics aren't everything and the multiplayer is broken you HC.
Hype Casual: WTF is a HC.
True Gamer: A Hype Casual, its what you are. L8r HC.

A trip to a grocery store, convenience store, or gas station for the sole purpose of buying an excessive amount of junk food and sugary drinks, usually with friends. A chud run often happens late at night and ends with everyone involved hating themselves afterwards.
"Hey bro you tryna go on a chud run with me??"

flophouse

Any house/apartment/frat house/trailer/etc. which is used for individuals to crash (sleep, chill, hang out, lurk, etc.) for a period of time. In order to "crash", one must not actually live there (e.g. have their name on the lease, own said flophouse, etc.). Flophouses are typically used by college students, drug addicts, transients, vagrants, or other unsavory characters.

A flophouse may also be the home owned by the parents of a college student, who after being away at college, wishes to live as if he/she is still at college (e.g. staying out all night, returning just to crash at mom and dad's house, then leaving again), rather than conforming to the pre-college rules.
Example #1
Dude: (Talking to someone passed out face first on the floor of his college apartment) Hey man, who the hell are you? What do you think this is, a flophouse??

Bro: Sorry dude, I must have passed out for a minute.

Example #2
Mom: Where have you BEEN for the last three days? You come home just to sleep?? What do you think this is, a flophouse??!!

Son: What's your problem? I'm an adult now!

Hate Sink

A person you hate intensely not because they deserve such hatred but because they serve as a focus for your general hatred. A healthy way to dispense with excess animosity.
Jake's not really that big an asshole. He just serves as my hate sink.
