(n) Combining the terms Hollywood and
Holocaust, a Hollycaust is a film that takes place during the
Holocaust and consists mostly of violent depictions of horrific Holocaust events, but fails to deliver a unique and proper storyline. Hollycaust films feel the need to spend a bulk of the film reiterating the abject horror that most people are familiar with instead of creating a unique piece of
art with the Holocaust as a horrific setting instead of a crutch for the storyline.
Steven: Did you see that
movie which the guy that was in Predators won an Oscar for?
Roberto: Yeah, I really liked the
later parts and it was a decent movie, but the first half of it felt like a Hollycaust.
