It referres to a person identifying as a homosexual but is in a relationship with a trans person, or vice versa. The correlation of the trans person being straight (heterosexual) and the lesbian/gay (homosexual) gives rise to the word hetemosexual.

Compulsory heterosexuality

When somebody experiences "attraction" to the opposite gender because that expectation has been pushed on them by the patriarchal society, this is quite often experienced by lesbians. It is quite difficult to distinguish between your own feelings and those which you are expected to feel.

I don't know if I am really attracted to Harry Styles or it is just compulsory heterosexuality because I do think I am a lesbian.
