hatemuting

A method of expressing hatred by muting opposing viewpoints and gagging free speech. Hatemuting is practiced by Facebook, Twitter, and Google by means of an algorithm to surreptitiously restrict the distribution of posts for political reasons, such as by shadowban. They may also mute speech by outright removing non-conformist posts. Hatemuting is done by YouTube largely through demonitization or outright removal of politically incorrect videos. Hatemuting is similar to hatespeech but is accomplished by controlling and preventing the freedom of expression by the hated group.
