A common, self-applied term used in 80s and 90s Britain to refer to someone specifically half white/half black. "Brownin" was the alternative expression. Literally a half-hipster. Usually, a true hipster will not admit to being one to preserve their social independence and obscurity which makes it difficult to pinpoint the difference between hipsters and halfpsters.
