It must have been senior citizens day at the grocery store earlier. There were more grandma sweaters per square foot than I’ve ever witnessed!

Sweeter than grandmas cookies

The phrase "Sweeter than grandmas cookies" is used to describe someone soft, unwilling to stand up for themselves or do anything that would oppose anyone. Mainly used when people are trying to act tough, though they'd be simply putting on an act, and in real life they are harmless. The noun "Grandmas cookies", because, well, obviously, Grandmas cookies are always sweet.
