Employees pretending or faking to work just to get through the work day. Can be at home or in the office. In some cases the employee is actually working on their resume or talking to a recruiter from another business, but not for the business they are working for.
Students often try to find a ghostworking job so they can study, or write their novel. But most employers frown on it especially in jobs like security in high security areas - which may seem boring if they are doing their job well, and stopping people who may otherwise be tempted to trespass or steal, if buildings were not monitored.
church hurt is where you experience a degree of distance, pain, or judgement from your church community. Essentially, you are just unable to “find your place”. This is prevalent in the Christian community, but can be extended to other religions.
Now that I am an adult I am beginning to heal from the church hurt that was inflicted on me as a child.
when you're holding up your phone and making faces at it, as though you are taking a selfie, but you're really taking a picture of the person across from you or the wall or anything else that seems interesting but you don't want to be caught dead taking a picture of.
This action is often made more convincing by wiggling the eyebrows or opening the mouth, to pretend you're trying to get a Snapchat filter to work.
FRIEND A: "Did you just take a stealthie of me?"
FRIEND B (turning phone around): "no I was just using snapchat's new filter, see?"
