George Watson's College 

A leading independent school situated in the South of Edinburgh, UK. The school, founded in 1723 by wealthy benefactor George Watson, caters for both boys and girls from ages 3-18. The school is reknowned for it's academic success and extra-curricular prowess.

Rugby Union is the main sport in the school, in which the school boasts over 100 Scottish internationialists and others who represented England, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. The school 1st XV is also successful, having been ranked in the top 10 schools in Britain for the last 3 seasons.
Music is also important to the school and this was reflected in the building of a new music building which won international awards for architecture and was opened by the Queen.

Living former pupils include 4 time Olympic gold medal winning cyclist Sir Chris Hoy, former British Lions captain and former world cup points record holder Gavin Hastings KBE, Scottish Labour leader Ian Gray, Lord David Steele, The Right Honourable Sir Malcolm Rifkind.
He went to George Watson's College , he is a Watsonian.
