Friendor

A word used by event vendors (professionals) to refer to other event vendors that they've developed friendships with.

Contraction of the words "friend" and "vendor".

First known use of the word was in 2007 by Famous William Company.

I worked with that wedding planner 4 weddings in a row, invited her out for mimosas and networking, and now she's my favorite Friendor.

I'm planning a styled shoot and inviting my Friendors to collaborate.

I have a tight circle of Friendors that I refer my brides to.

A person who behaves as a friend, but is also benefitting financially from the relationship.

I’m having lunch with my friend later today….although she’s also my personal trainer, so I guess she’s more of a friendor.

I’m lunching later with my friend. I also owe her $100 because she’s my personal trainer…so I guess she’s more of a friendor.
