frankenword

Exactly like portmanteau, only much easier to remember. Two words are fused together by either joining a common syllable inbredneck or by compromising both (or possibly more) words to create an entirely new word with the combined meanings of both.

I called that rattle-trap pickup driver doing 45 in the fast lane next to an old lady that he was an inbredneck bastard for holding up traffic...of course I said it as I blew past him at 80 miles per hour.

Ex 2: "I heard a rawksome band at the club last night."

Both of these are examples of a frankenword.

An overtly promiscuous woman who's had so many failed boob jobs she's now missing her nipples and has a plethora of Frankenstein-like scars, and badly photoshops her face onto models bodies to use as her profile pictures on Facebook

I found this girl on Facebook and she looked pretty hot until I met her and found out she was a frankenwhore

Frankencode

A program or subprogram consisting of bits and pieces of other, possibly unrelated, code that only barely performs its function and is prone to errors. Much like Frankenstein's monster, such code can create havoc in a user's life.

I took pieces from three other programs and stitched together some Frankencode.

frankenfoods

Genetically modified crops, done so for the purpose of increasing overall yield, resistance to pests, and other reasons. Been around for awhile, yet nobody has grown an extra head or suffered cancers associated with it.

Frankenfood is a scare term used by European agricultural interests trying to take trade share from US growers; and also used by ignorant folks using it as a lame excuse for yet more yankbashing.

FrankenPod

A surveyors tripod that has been assembled from several different tripods in various states of disrepair.
They will often have a black table atop two orange hinges and a green hinge. They often have 1 wooden leg, 1 aluminum leg, and 1 fiberglass leg. They often as not have three different feet from three different manufacturers.

J.R.: "Did you see that freaking FrankenPod that Charley gave me to use yesterday?"
Osmond: "No mon, how bad was it?"
Chris: "The newest part on it was used by Lewis & Clark on their voyage of discovery"

an automobile that was manufactured by ford that was wrecked or damaged so badly It had to be fixed with another half of a diffident but also wrecked Ford automobile.

My car was in a wreck, they fixed it with another front end from another wrecked car, Its a real Frankenford.
