Term used to describe an unsuccessful first date.

"I went out with this guy last night. It was such a FAILDATE. All he could talk about was his cats."

Failgate 

Central Michigan University's definition of tailgating after the new policies took effect prior to the Sept. 20 home game against Alcorn State in 2009.

These policies include the limit of six beers or one pint of liquor per 21-year-old, and a ban on external sound and speaker systems.

Guy 1: Hey dude, did you go tailgating on Main before the game today?
Guy 2: Nah, we attempted to failgate in lot 63 behind Kelly/ Shorts Stadium. Pathetic.
Guy 1: Ouch.

failmate

When two events coincide in the course of attempt to correct one fail leading to a second fail in which both parties are unable to continue due to shame.

An example of a failmate would be if a group of thieves stole a car with no wheels, then the cops who came to get them hit the parked car. The double fail means that no beneficial conclusion can be reached by either party without suffering epic shaming.

Failgate 

Any offshoot sports forum or blog that fails at its goal of being better than the original from which it was spurned. Usually denotes a spinoff site that attempts to be cozy with a corporate entity in exchange for favors rather than staying independently critical of its subject matter. Origin lies in one particular offshoot forum using tailgate in its URL that became known as the failgate.

Man, did you check out my new site?
No, it's clearly a failgate.

I got so excited and rubbed one out when my neighbor's kid left her curtains open last night, but I realized it was a total failbate when I saw her at Costco signing up for a membership this morning.
