Estimate

Estimate is a common word used in the construction industry. Usually used by a worker in a supervisory position or someone with their own truck as a way to get out of doing a shitty job or just not wanting to deal with it. Inclement weather and temperature usually play into it.
Hey Brandon, I need your help on this job. It’s real shitty

Sorry Matt, I have an estimate to do

estimate deficit

not being able to guess, afraid to come up with a hunch, not willing to use a ballpark guesstimate, afraid to give a viewpoint in case it's not the perfect one, being uncomfortable with tentativeness.
A: How far is it to LA do you think?
B: I have no idea.
A: But what would you say?
B: I haven't a clue.
A: Would it be one mile?
B. I wouldn't know.
A: How about 20 light years.
B. Gee, there's no way of even imagining how far it is.

Individual B would have ED---estimate deficit

Conservative Estimate

A completely implausible figure made up by a conservative and stated as fact.
Conservative Estimates:

The President's 10-day trip to India will cost $200,000,000/day.

The probability of a cell forming by chance is 10^-58, and any event with a probability of less than 10^-40 is impossible.

Anal estimate

When you give an estimate and pull the numbers from your ass.
The mechanic had no idea what the problem was so he gave me an anal estimate.
