Disapprove of this Don’t be shy press keep out

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it

A great quote from the philosopher Voltaire.
There is also a great singer named Voltaire.
Idiot: Pineapple Pizza is good
Voltaire: I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it

morrigan disapproves

Phrase used to express disagreement or displeasement with a statement made by another person. It is used normally within discussions about video games on forums and imageboards.

The phrase originates from the relationship system that forms part of Bioware's title, Dragon Age: Origins, where the aforementioned Morrigan is found as an ally and playable character. This character is known for being quite good-looking, for her ability to shapeshift and for her bizarre opinions on pretty much everything, causing almost every attempt to start a conversation with she getting mad at you and the game displaying "Morrigan Dissaproves"
(general thread about first person shooters)
User 1: i think halo is teh best game evar!!!!1
User 2: Morrigan Disapproves

Morrigan: My mother and I spent good days killing the city wards.
Player: But is your mother a witch?
Morrigan: Oh, don't call her a witch, that is a very ugly word *morrigan disapproves*

Stern Finger of Disapproval

The wagging of the index finger of your dominant hand in a very stern and disapproving manner. This is done to show your disapproval of the (usually idiotic) actions of another. Note that the wagging must be done so slowly as to make it a very awkward situation.

Usually accompanied by the Look of Judgement
Mr. English Teacher: What are you doing on the floor?

Student: My cell phone fell out of my pocket...

Mr. English Teacher: *Gives the Stern Finger of Disapproval* Naughty.

Look of questionable disapproval

It's a combination of looking unsure and a disapproving look. It's a combination of " what are you talking about" look and the look of disapproval. It's the safety net. It's like letting them know that if you knew what they were saying and that it would offend you, you would disapprove. It only appies if what they were saying would offend you. If they said something that will not offend you if you knew what they were saying, the look of questionable disapproval would not apply. It's used online, although rarely. It's the name of the emoticon below.

ಠ_ಠ?

Just add this definition, or else.
Idiot: Haven't I seen you in www.eatyoursoup.com
Hot Japanese girl with feelings: (has no idea what the idiot meant).
Hot Japanese girl with feelings: F***! I should've used the look of questionable disapproval!

ಠ_ಠ? ಠ_ಠ I now know what he means. I disapprove.

Disapproval Boner

A disapproval boner is what old, judgmental people get when they see something sexualized that was produced for the consumption of a younger audience. Clearly a sign of intense self-loathing.

As defined by Jon Stewart on the Daily Show 5/1/14, referencing Bill O'Reilly's condemnation of Beyonce's sexualized videos.
"Bill O'Reilly probably ran that sexy Beyonce B-roll in order to bring some much-needed disapproval boners to his aging audience."
