The V.C. Andrews fans coined because of the nickname of "Dresden Dolls" for the Dollanganger children (first featured in Flowers In The Attic) in their family saga, Cathy referring to Chris as Christopher Doll and the overall atmosphere of porcelain dolls and how they, like the V.C. Andrews novels, are eerie and innocent, sweet and fragile and somewhat downright creepy.
Dolls usually don't like the ghostwriter but read the newer books anyways, just because it's under the name of V.C. Andrews.
