Janine unleashed a cryphoon when Ghana went out of the world cup, despite not being Ghanaian or a soccer fan.

massive traffic; or a wave in cyberspace
When there is too much traffic online making it hard to get or stay online.

There was too many people on the site and it crashed in a cyphoon.
There was a cyphoon on the site because of all the people trying to use it.
I couldn't get on the web because of a cyphoon.
