consulting

The act of telling your client you know how to "grab the low hanging fruit" or that task "is like trying to rearrange the deck furniture on the Titanic." One then charges a ton of money to the client for something that could have easily been done by a trained monkey. This scam continues to the next client once the original realizes they can do the same work for much cheaper.
I was going to work for a large bank, but then I realized I could do easier work and make more money consulting for the banks, by using meaningless phrases executives love to hear.

Consulting Detective

Abbreviation CD; A person you hire to investigate a person or organization who is suspected of committing illegal and or unethical acts, or to review a case police were unable to solve that you would like them to solve; or in other words a private investigator or PI
The consulting detective investigated Marcia’s boyfriend and discovered that he was cheating on her with another woman.

Today is my day to start Milestone Consulting.

Net Consulting Company

A Net Consulting Company is a consulting company that deals specifically with the internet and internet related issues, as opposed to a management consulting, IT consulting, public relations consulting, etc. It’s important to ask your net consulting company what areas of expertise they have because not all net consulting companies specialize in the same areas.
A net consulting company helps online businesses with things like web design and eCommerce. Net consulting companies are not who you call to fix a fishing net or basketball net.

Organic Consulting

this is a new phenomenon in the professional services or consulting industry where consultants are straightforward and truthful with their clients. They are "keeping it real" and cutting out the bullshit. They don't use buzzwords and try to be honest as possible. Like organic food, organic consulting is consulting without fluff.
Your client wants to close their widget factory in China and open it in California. If you practice Organic Consulting you would say "are you nuts, you'll lose money. Don't be an idiot." Whereas, the typical consultant would say "that's an interesting idea, let's investigate further and prepare a business case. We charge $300 per hour for that service."

Universal Web Consulting

Web consulting companies typically specialize in one or more of the following areas:

-- Web & Graphic Design
-- Search Engine Marketing
-- Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Marketing
-- Organic Lead Generation
-- Social Network Management
-- Social Network Advertising & Marketing
-- eCommerce Setup and Execution
etc
etc
etc

Universal Web Consulting companies are able to assist clients with all of these areas of interest.
I didn't realize that I would need to hire a PPC consulting company after my website was designed. I should have found a universal web consulting company that could have designed my site and helped me with advertising.

Surf Dracula Syndrome

A phenomenon in film/television series, most notably streaming series, where the main premise is drawn out to such a point that it takes an entire season or more to get the parts of the series the audience is actually interested in seeing.

For example, if a series is titled "Surf Dracula," a majority of viewers would tune in expecting to see Dracula surfing by the first or second episode. However, the entire first season would instead be tedious padding and backstory before finally ending with Dracula surfing in the last five minutes of the season finale.
I watched "Smallville" on Netflix the other day. Dude, it was ten seasons of filler before he finally flew! Major Surf Dracula Syndrome!
