Having the ability to confront someone directly with being offensive or confrontational.

Now that I've learned to be assertive, I tend to be confrontive as soon as I feel it is important to do so.

To confrontate is to converse in a confrontational yet graceful manner with the purpose of inciting an emotional response that can then be turned into a debate about why the responding party had to respond in such an emotional manner

As I watched from a distance I could see two girls start to move closer to each other as they slowly began to circle each other with heads jerking back and forth and index fingers raised, as one girl made herself a little louder and straightened herself to be slightly more intimidating than the other, it was obvious they were about to confrontate over an unknown but important issue,
