Reference word used to categorize chromosome groups, such as the common xx or xy but also including more rare combinations such as xxy, xxx, xxyy, etc. Can also be used in place of asking for sex or gender. When used as binary choice all chromotypes that have a Y in them are referenced as type Y and no Y is referenced as X.
What is chromotype is listed on your medical records? Is this the year that passports start requiring the X or Y chromotype instead of male/female designation?
