People who will only recognize and greet you if there is no one else in the room they know.

The way a Quarterback will toss the ball to his running back because none of his receivers are open.
Me: I was the only only guy Tom knew at the gig so he came over and said hello.

Friend: Ahhh, he had to checkdown eh?

A quarterback that has a tendency to only hand out checkdown throws (quick, short passes to open receivers). Good defining characteristics are typically either averaging less than ten yards per completed pass, or 3-6 air yards per attempt.
Friend 1: Your quarterback sucks! He's only dishing out throws to the flats!

Friend 2: Yeah, I hate to say it but he's a checkdown merchant.

Captain Checkdown 

Trent Edwards, QB Buffalo Bills. The phrase used to describe Trent Edwards, the QB of the NFL's Buffalo Bills. The NFL quarterback who historically throws most of his passes under ten yards.

This phrase can also be used to describe any QB who tends to throw the majority of his passes under ten yards.
Lee Evans and TO were open down field all day and of course Captain Checkdown didn't throw to them once.

checkpoint confidence 

Checkpoint confidence is the feeling of safety you get after earning a checkpoint in a video game, that ups your tendency to do risky things now that you know you won't lose your last bit of hard earned progress if you are immediately killed.
"Why are you suddenly rushing them, Gavin? You'll die!"

"Yeah well I have checkpoint confidence right now."

Checkpoint

A spliff where just one strip of pure tabacco is hidden in between the weed in a joint. It can be placed at any point in the joint during the rolling process and serves as a method to sneak attack yourself or those smoking with a heavy chop.

Chucktown 

Chucktown refers to Charleston, South Carolina. Also known as The Chuck, Charlie-o, Chucktezzy, ect. Originally named Charles Town after King Charles, hence "Chuck"town. Not the West Virginian city of Charleston. Chucktown was also featured as a question on an episode of discovery channels Cash Cab, just for you West Virginians out there who disagree.
