Cellarday, also know as 'kelderdag', is a term used in the Utrecht, The Kingdom of the Netherlands, region to indicate a day with the boys. On this day, which is usually a saturday, the boys (and Merijn) drink tasty beers (mostly pilsner) and other beverages, such as champagne. Despite the name, the 'cellarday' ritual does not have to take place in a cellar. Often, it takes place in a poorly ventilated shed, a garden, and even sometimes in a living room. The cellar itself is a metephor for beïng able to be yourself in a safe space.
"Hey bro, i can't come tonight, i am already goïng to cellarday."
"Hey lads, are y'all in for a cellarday tonight?"
"'Sup guys, you know the drill: cellarday on saturday."
