1) the difficult and awkward bodily position wherein one's gluteus maximi are situated above one's trapezoids

2) a less vulgar and more socially acceptable synonym for "head up (one's) ass"

"I'm not inclined to continue this conversation until I hear that distinctive popping sound that will indicate to me that you've successfully removed your butt from your shoulders!"….

"Yeah, they've all got their butts on their shoulders down there at Bridgeport!"…
