Buuhoodle, specifically dareema caddo was the first capital of the Darwiish from 1896 until 1899 when it changed to another Dhulbahante city at Lassader in Sool. Buuhoodle is also the birthplace of 2 of the most important Darwiish figures, i.e. the Sayyid and the supreme commander Ismail Mire. Buuhoodle is also the hometown of 3 of the Sayyid's grandparents
