Berlin was geht ab

"Berlin was geht ab (?)" is a german sentence / question. It is used in case you fucked up while performing a performance (e.g. rapping or singing) or in case you said or did sth. embarassing. The goal is to distract the audience from your fail.

The origin of this sentence is from a well known german rapper called "Eno" who failed rapping his own part of a track on a live event in Berlin (July 2019). He forgot his lyrics and randomly started to speak unclear words. After that he directly asked the audience if they are all good and he wants to hear them sing.

Today it is also used in the youth age group as a funny question. Sometimes you also leave the word Berlin out or replace it with something else.

Example 1 (original):
Eno (a german autotune rapper): *randomly starts to speak chinese on a live concert
"Majfkebdkxkebalfekbfkbrille"

Eno: " Berlin was geht ab ? Seid ihr gut drauf oder was? Ich will euch alle hören, alle zusammen!"

Random dude: "Ey Gruppe was geht ab? Seid ihr gut drauf oder was?

Capital of Germany w/ 3,5 million inhabitants and an estimated 150.000 daily transfrontier commuters.
Founded in the year 1250, Berlin was split up in two halfs after the Berlin Wall was raised in 1961. After the reunification in 1990, Berlin is legally accepted capital as it was before the split.

Berlin today is said to be one of the most pulsating and exciting cities in the world.

Battle for Berlin

Nazi Germany's last stand against the Soviet Union. The Soviet military outnumbered the Third Reich by 2.5 Soviets for 1 German. Severe shortages of manpower brought out the extensive use of the Hitler youth and Volkssturm (People's Storm). The battle was a one-sided conflict and Hitler's staff knew the end of the war was near. Neverless, he ordered that none should surrneder and they'd press on. Once Soviet troops were within 500 meters of the Führerbunker, Adolf Hitler and his wife, Eva braun, commited suicide. After the germans surrendered at Berlin, only the occupied city of Prague was left in German hands.
