Bandtaring

When promoters talk up a big game to get artists to play for free, when actually they plan on using the profits of the show for their own gain and offer absolutely nothing in return for the artists. See: Bait and Switch

The Promoter said we'd be direct support for a national act when pitching us the gig. But he was just bandtaring. He failed to secure the national act and replaced them with more shitty local bands, charged a cover, and split none of it with the bands. He calls it a "festival" - said it would be good for "exposure".

Yesterday after lights out in the dorms I jumped into Kudee's bed and we engaged in some bananaring.
Unfortunately this morning the headmaster found out so he decided to cane the whole dorm.

The act of being engaged in banter, usually amongst lads. When one is bantering, one is playfully exchanging remarks.

Lad: Did you hear the lads bantering last night?

Lad: No, but I am sure some top bants were exchanged

Lad: Yes, it made for such fine banter
