The bananaberry is a genetic cross between the banana and a berry. Originally a black berry was used, but this was soon replaced by a raspberry as this was not only more orally stimulating but also higher in protein and essential nutriants.
Can easily be grown in most climates and has proved popular in countries that are low in water such as countries in
Africa. Is becoming a part of the staple diet across the world.

will start importing the crop some
time to western countries such a Britain in
late 2005.
