An aura farmer is someone who deliberately cultivates an air of charisma, coolness, or social presence to gain admiration or attention. The term blends "aura," which refers to a person's perceived energy or presence, with "farming," a gaming term for repeatedly performing actions to accumulate power. Aura farming can be intentional—like dressing stylishly and positioning oneself in a way that exudes confidence—or more subtle, such as adopting mannerisms that make one seem effortlessly cool. The phrase gained popularity online, particularly in gaming and anime communities, where characters or influencers are often described as "aura farming" when they engage in exaggerated displays of confidence or mystique.
