A communication style characterised by:

* partial answers,
* topic diversion,
* unanswered questions,
* requiring the recipient to infer the missing information.

Example:

“I asked whether he had annual leave booked and somehow ended up discussing holiday clubs. Peak Al-munication.”

noun

A person who responds to messages without necessarily answering the question that was asked.

Example:

Person A:

“Will the children have had dinner?”

Al-municator:

“Sure.”

Person A:

“That wasn’t the question.”

ammunication 

A portmanteau of "ammunition" and "communication". A method of communication that is designed principally to be hurtful while disguised as a communication in the ordinary course of the conversation.

When Sarah shared her career achievements, her mother's ammunication was clear; disguised as concern, her mother asked, 'It's great you got a promotion, but don't you think a more stable job would suit you better?' undermining her choices and achievements under the guise of ordinary conversation.
