refers to the unexpected and surprising introduction of same-sex content or scenes in heterosexual television programming and films. It is characterized by the sudden appearance of homo-erotic or LGBTQ+ themes, catching heterosexual viewers off guard and potentially eliciting strong emotional reactions due to the unexpected nature of the content. Homosexual Ambushing is also known as Surprising Homosexual Content.

Example 1:
In the show P-Valley, there's no Homosexual Ambushing because gay relationships are a central theme. The advertisements for the show feature LGBTQ+ content, so viewers expect to see such scenes.

Example 2:
Unlike shows like Power that focus on street life and drug dealing, Power Book II Ghost series sometimes surprises viewers with unexpected Drew scenes. You might be watching an intense drug deal, and suddenly there's a homo-erotic scene with Drew and another dude sweating and breathing heavy cuts in between the drug action. Some viewers find this unexpected insertion to be a form of Homosexual Ambushing.
