Adventures of the Misfits

More commonly known as AOTM, Adventures of the Misfits is a comic series with the three main characters Marco, Kitty and Kayla Misfit. The book series also has 30 - 40 more characters with well-formed personalities. The book is about a rehabilitation center for misfits, creatures of all species shunned by society. The story is set in a faraway planet called Twoface, a planet with two main continents, Lumin and Afyrin. The Misfits live in a cozy house in Lumin, constantly encountering problems caused by a group of space pirates, the notorious Arcturus. The story is narrated by Llevelynn Misfit.
"Take me with you, moon man," said Kitty desperately, choking back tears as he gazed upon Wanderlust's scaly face, his eyes glistening with tears, his voice pleading.
"I do so wish I could, young cat, but alas, I could never do such a thing, for you belong here, with your family."
"Please! Don't leave me! I want to travel the world with you, to see the distant planets and dance among the stars! Who knows what wonders we will chance upon!"
"Kitty, please. You have to realize what's happening."
"W-What? Wanderlust? What's going on?"
"You forgot your schizophrenia pills."
"Huh?"
Kitty woke with a jolt from the hallucination, frowning. The cold feeling of Wanderlust's scaly skin on his fur lingered in his mind, the image of her bright smile burning in his vision when he closed his eyes. She was real, he insisted. He wanted to leave this hell of a planet and borrow her wings, flying so freely among the stars without a care in the world. He wished so much for her to come back, but now it was time for dinner, and he was sure Jake would hide those disgusting bitter pills in his meal again, then force him to swallow them when he spat them out.
