A slang version of Alright, and is commonly used in cities with confusing dialects, e.g. a Brummie accent and a Geordy accent.

derived from the words "all right" in acknowledgement that you understand, comprehend, or heard what was asked or commanded. Usually used when being lazy in speech, or when you are too embarassed to respond with complete word usage.
