4JX1 

The 4JX1 is an incontinent diesel engine which is best known for mixing diesel, coolant and oil before the vehicle can even leave the dealership. It was installed in the Isuzu Trooper and GM/Daewoo/Holden Jackaroo and was the most reliable part installed on those vehicles. The engine was developed in partnership by Isuzu, a toddler with a broken crayon, and Caterpillar (the insect, not the construction equipment manufacturer). 4JX1 owners can usually be found at home trying to repair their junk, or at the side of the road waiting for a tow truck.
