This is called the micro symbol and is often used in math.

For example: What is 70µ in mm?

Answer: 0,07 mm.

It's a really useful symbol to use in math when u are working with geometry. :)

Math teacher: What is 9536µ in millimeters?

Smart kid: It's 9,5360

Math teacher: Correct :)
