splinter cell

An agent who has the freedom to eliminate any threat he perceives in any manner he sees fit.

Usually such agents are covered by "plausible deniability" - the agent is told what his job is, but not through the normal chain of command, so that the orders are not recorded. This way, if the agent is captured or killed, the government who sent the agent can claim that he was a rogue agent, acting without official orders or permission.

Splinkton

"Splinkton is a game in which players attempt to lick the elbow of an unsuspecting player or stranger. It is a little known fact that if you lick someones elbow when they're not paying attention they cannot feel it. There are various types of Splinks and amounts of points rewarded for each type of Splink.

If a player licks another players elbow without the player noticing the Splinker(the person licking) receives one point.

If the Splinker licks the elbow of someone they know who has not heard of Splinkton the Splinker receives two points.

If a Splinker licks the elbow of someone they know (playing the game or not) while the person is walking or running the Splinker receives three points.

If two Splinkers lick each elbow of someone they know simultaneously each Splinker receives three points.

If a Splinker licks the elbow of a teacher, manager, boss ect. they receive 10 points.

If a Splinker licks the elbow of a complete stranger who is alone they receive 15 points.

If a Splinker licks the elbow of a complete stranger who is in a group that watches you lick their friends elbow the Splinker receives 25 points.

For each Splink you do on to a person they subtract the amount of points you earn from their score. The exception is when a person has been double splinked (each elbow is licked by a different player simultaneously). In this scenario the person who has been splinked loses five points."
Two friends are walking in the park. A man is sitting with his elbows back on a bench. The two friends look at eachother and the game of Splinkton has begun. They stealthily sneak behind the man and lick his bare elbows.

Later that night they brag to their friends about the Double Splink they got.

One of the few true stealth games on the market. Popular, but still underrated really. Brought us something new for a change (Spy vs Merc multiplayer) and really fun co-op (Chaos Theory).
Casual gamers love to dispute over Splinter Cell and MGS. One popular argument being "he has 3 green lights on his head how can the dumb guards not see him?!". It is widely known that that is Sam's trademark, the guards don't actually see it. A better comparison might be Splinter Cell and Thief.

splinter cell

The technical definition of being a splinter cell means working alone, being invisible, and using agility and wits to infiltrate enemy compounds to achieve your goals. A splinter cell also has the right to exercise the "Fifth Freedom" - vaguely described as ability to eliminate any threat as seen fit without question.
