When you are linked to a video hosted on another website, (commonly Youtube or the likes) that features a video starring Rick Astley singing his song Never Gonna Give You Up, (can be any other Rick Astley song. That one just happens to be the most popular and catchy.)

The most used video of Ricks' is the song "Never gonna give you up" made in the eighties.

Rickrolled

The verb used to describe that you clicked a misleading youtube(Or another video hosting website) link that leads you to a video that is very silly instead of the video described. It derives from the Halo 3 GameFAQs/Gamespot forum where a Rick Roll music video was commonly linked in place of the video misleadingly described as a Halo 3 gameplay video.

I just got rickrolled! That video was fake!

RickRoll

When someone deliberately links to the Rick Astley music video of "Never Gonna Give You Up" via youtube on internet forums. Originally popularized in the World of Warcraft community forums, it has spread to many other forums across the internet.

It can be either a straight link or come with a deviating description prior to the link. When someone clicks on it, they are "RickRolled"

Also known as /RickRoll, RickRoll'd, Rickrolled, etc.

Guy1: Hey guys, check out my new PVP video: (link to video)

Guy2: WTF!
