Teleglot

Teleglot is a sub-language of code-words used by Newscasters on a Television broadcast or Radio broadcasts. The code words are intended to be understood by the viewer or listener.
Famously, these words are used to mask resists reporting. Raciest terms like “Urban-Youth” are Teleglot, but Teleglot is often used as well when Newscasters are under strict censorship and yet must report the news. Things like using made up words like “Isragypts” referenced in the book The Lathe of Heaven by Ursula K. Le Guin to avoid discussing touchy political matters.

Term used to define modern golden-age TV shows, particularly serial dramas, such as Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Sons Of Anarchy, True Detective, The Sopranos, etc. (aka Heavyweight TV)

Person 1: "Have you finished binge watching the last season of Breaking Bad on Netflix yet?"

Person 2: "Not yet, it's almost impossible to keep up with all of the great heavyweight television shows out there today"
