Cut the fat

To remove something that is unnecessary or superfluous.

I found that I could get to class on the bus, so instead of ALSO paying for the car, gas, registration, insurance, and maintenance.... I just cut the fat, and sold it.

bowl-cut

When you put a bowl on the top of head and cut everything underneath it. A good example of this is Mo from the 3 Stooges. Usually kids you have this cut get made fun of.

Mo from the 3 Stooges, Dennis Althoff who resides in Greenville, SC who just moved there from Winston Salem and has a bowl-cut.

When it's extremely cold outside and a person's nipples which are known to contract in cold temperatures and stiffen (or "get hard"), so much so, that one might suggest they could possibly pierce the fabric of a person's shirt.
