Silver Lining

The principle that every bad situation produces something good or teaches some lesson. It is derived from the fact that clouds, even though dark, often have bright silver edges where the sun reflects.
2020 was a terrible year, but the silver lining was I got to do school from the comfort of home, finally wasn't constantly busy, got to play lots and lots of video games, and learned to appreciate a normal world.

When a "best of x" series reaches the maximum amount of games, it's called a silver scrapes game. Originated from the League of Legends song that plays when competitive games reached the Silver Scrapes point.
"Yo, did you watch that tournament?"

silver tuna

An object that is better than all of the other ones in it's category.
In Home Alone as Harry was driving along showing Marv the neighborhood he had checked out for houses to rob, they pulled out to the McCallister residence Harry: pointing to the McCallister house That's the one, Marv, that's the silver tuna.
Marv: Oh, it's very gee.
Harry: Very gee, huh? It's loaded. It's got lot's of top-flight goods. Stereos, VCRs...
Marv: Toys?
Harry: Probably looking at some very fine jewelry. Possible cash hoard. Odd marketable securities... Who knows. It's a gem. Hand me a crow bar. Crow bars up.
