(1971-present) Actress Sanaa McCoy Lathan is the daughter of television and film producer Stan Lathan, and choreographer Eleanor McCoy. She has appeared in numerous film, television, and stage prductions. She is perhaps best known for her leading lady turns in the African American romantic dramas Brown Sugar and Love & Basketball. Her combination of stunning beauty and "girl next door" approachability have made her one of the most popular Black actresses of her generation.
