Twonky

A new technology which is highly disruptive to established ways of doing things. Named after a device from the future in Henry Kuttner's 1942 short story "The Twonky", which upsets the life of a man who comes into possession of it.

This 3D printer isn't just a toy, it makes things I can really use around the house. That's a real twonky as far as shopping goes.

A term often used in country songs that is code for STDs.

You know those songs

"honkey tonk" means. It means herpes, baby! That's right! You can't
get the honkey tonk out of the girl because herpes is there for life!!!

tonkies tinge

skin discoloration resulting from wearing leather shoes with no socks and getting them wet.

"tonkies" derives from the name Minnetonka, a popular moccasin brand. the foot and/or feet appear orange or brown in color. this color gradually fades over a timespan of a few days.

many sufferers report a feeling of emotional discomfort / embarrassment as other people assume they have some type of medical problem leading to foot discoloration.
